The California Suicide Prevention Network is an independent, non-partisan, voluntary group of individuals, organizations, and agencies (public and private) who promote and provide interactive broad based support in community awareness, education and outreach services in the signs of suicide and intervention strategies for the prevention of suicide to the military and residents of California.
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
(2 day, 15 hours)
An intensive course designed for mental health professionals using an evidence-based suicide intervention model to identify persons with thoughts of suicide, seek a shared understanding of reasons for dying and living, develop a safety plan, and prepare for follow-up
Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR)
An easy introduction to suicide prevention, suitable for the general public teaches individuals how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, offer hope to people in crisis, and get help to save a life. It is suitable for people with little to no mental health background. Customizable for groups such as: Veterans, Elderly, Bullying, etc.
Suicide Prevention Resource Center Online Training
A free online training to service providers, educators, health professionals, public officials and community-based coalitions to help support the development of effective suicide prevention programs and policies
Military/Government/Veterans Suicide Prevention Training
